On Thursday 17 October a blue plaque was unveiled on the main gates by Rear Admiral Simon Charlier RN, Chairman of the Fleet Air Arm Association.

The plaque was sponsored by Councillor Michael Jeal and awarded by Great Yarmouth Local History and Archaeological Society as part of its scheme to recognise local sites of historical importance.
